She always swore that she never would do it  .. but all praises , the Sepia Goddess has decided at the tender age of 65 TO SHARE and I am elated.  She figured it was time and that if she didn’t do it somebody else would.. .. Oh . Grace.. She truly is the reason why I sing.. She reveals her experiences with everyone from Andy Warhol to Arnold Schwarzenegger. I REALLY cannot wait.. Gallery publishing has announced that the book is as of yet untitled but it should be hitting shelves next Fall.

You know,  it is rumored that Ahmir”Questlove” Thomson possesses the most vast collection of Soul Train episodes in the entire world.. Questlove  He is well versed in Soul Trainology lol.. he can tell you who was on keys in the back during  Taste of Honey’s performance of Sukiyaki LOL..  as most of us black kids growin up in the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s would be. No I am lying he really will throw the third percussionist from the left’s name and resume’ from the Roy Ayers Ubiquidity ep in your face before you can remember which fool he is talking about .. HAHA..  ..   This book also includes a foreword from Gladys Knight  so you know it’s real lol and a preface by NICK CANNON.. (yeah I know but Nick is bringing Soul Train back to television this year on NBC )

I am going to pre order this soft cover gem as it is not being released until Oct 22.  Check it out , you can’t go wrong with Questlove B.

So… you ever wonder what the hell happened to the actors of “The Blair Witch Project”.  Me neither ,  however that film did create a new template for independent film makers to draft cheap yet effective flicks from.  We have thousands of movies now filmed with cell phones garnering $45 budgets and for that WE ARE THANKFUL LOL!!!

Heather Donahue was the snotty nose chick in the movie and her time in the woods clearly must have created a yearning for nature and dirt.   The former Thespian is now a full blown Nurse Greenthumb as she has settled in to the GREEN life as a POT FARMER!! Yes ..  she is surely one of us. You may wonder how all this took place, since the life of a Hollywood It girl and a kush farmer do not normally coalesce.

Growgirl , chronicles Heather Donahue’s transition from Hollywood lights to Nuggetown’s female KUSH seeds.   This memoir is not  a “how to” for “outdoor growing”  but more of an insightful and humorous look at the community that has become part of Heather Donahue’s  growth.  She deals with the ganja while taking risks , creating income, and dealing with regular female “coming of age” tableaus.  She is in her late 30’s, she is finding herself etc, etc. Check it out..  She has a really great interview over at LAWEEKLY.

Donahue will be reading passages from Growgirl at Book Soup (8818 W. Sunset Blvd)  on January 16 at 7PM

This is going to be a good view.. AOL.COM  has put together a web series of  featurettes, based on Executive Steve Stoute’s book ” The Tanning of America”.. I’LL SAY IT’S BEEN TANNED.. huh..

JayZ , of course..(don’t you remember when he wouldn’t talk lol).. Pharrell, Lady Gaga , and Jimmy Iovine (who sounds so “carsalesmanish”) lol.. all discuss how  they have provided assistance with certain branding and the distrubution of swagger  to  mass media and pop culture via their snazzy urban influence.
