It’s hot.. summer is upon us.. and there is nothing better than getting turned up ..while turning your OWN TEMPERATURE.. WAAAYYY DOWN..  We present to you  VODKA FRUIT POPSICLES.. yummers…   This comes from the awesome people over at Tipsy Bartender ….. you should follow their blog.. they have all kinds of spirits over there to keep you ON for the summer LOL….

Red Layer:
1 cup Frozen Raspberries
1/2 cup Guava Rum
1/4 cup Simple Syrup

Orange Layer:
1 Sliced Mango
1/2 cup Passion Fruit Rum
1/4 cup Passion Fruit Mix

Yellow Layer:
1 cup Frozen Pineapples
1 1/2 cup Pineapple Rum
1/4 Simple Syrup

cuervocinnamonwell one thing is for sure.. now that I am nestled all comfy like in Seattle , I see that it is rather chilly round these parts. liquor and spirits can certainly knock the chill off.. and what better spice to do it with than good ole CINNAMON.. . i had never laid my eyes upon A CINNAMON INFUSED TEQUILA. prior to coming down to the Northwest. . but dangit.. look at what I found mulling about the grocery store.. JOSE CUERVO .. Cinnamon Especial..

This special edition Tequila doesn’t seem to be available everywhere nationally , but here is a place you can order it online..  I haven’t tasted it yet but I WILL darn sure let you know when I do .. I did find daring drink recipe that could  call for this new cinnamon delight.. Check it out.. and let us now how right this cinnamon Jose Cuervo  .. got YOU.. LOL..

 Here is a recipe for the Rosa Mexicano… it requires cinnamon syrup .. so I feel like if you bring in this Jose Cuervo Cinnamon you may be able to skip a step.. LOL..

Rosa Mexicano’s perfectly balanced La Pinela cocktail is made with pineapple juice, cinnamon syrup, lime juice, and tequila.

What to buy: Licor 43 Cuarenta y Tres is a Spanish liqueur with great spiced notes and a vanilla flavor that’s often served on the rocks. It can be found at high-end liquor stores and online.  also.. YOU CAN BUY THE JOSE CUERVO CINNAMON..

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • Lime wedge, for rimming the glass
  • Ice
  • 1 1/2 ounces silver (blanco), 100 percent agave tequila
  • 1 1/2 ounces naturally sweetened pineapple juice
  • 1/2 ounce Licor 43
  • 1/2 ounce freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1/4 ounce Cinnamon Syrup
INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Combine the sugar and cinnamon in a shallow dish. Rim a glass with the lime wedge, then coat the outside rim of the glass with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Fill the glass with ice.
  1. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice, add the remaining ingredients, and shake until the shaker is frosty, about 20 to 30 seconds. Strain into the glass.

Buzz Balls.. this little bastard is wicked…

BuzzBalls2okay so these little suckers are cute.. they contain between 17 to 20% alcohol  in each can.. You have the choices of mixed drinks made with either vodka, tequila, rum or gin.. It is allegedly 100% FRUIT juice, contains less sugar than other leading mixed drinks and .. they won’t pop in the freezer.. I started this post LAST NITE .. HAHAH.. i am finishing .. the following afternoon.. Excuse my french : I WAS FUCKED UP .. now this could be because I don’t drink often.. but I do have a drank at least once a week.. so I am no newbooty..  The catch: they are only like 3 bucks.. and they don’t taste like rot gut..BUZZ GLASS I purchased the Lotta Colada .. and the Tequila Rita.. I sipped the Colada all nite.. I left that Tequila joint right in the freezer.. I mean it even made me place half my joint in the ashtray as I was really feelin it.. so much so that I got into this Doobie Brother / Hall and Oates playlist (okay i digress..another time) .. and then I don’t know what happened .. HAHAHAH.. anyhoo.. my final word.. I AM BUYING A CASE HAHAHA.. THEY ROCK.. but be careful.. don’t let the small appearance fool you .. These are stronger than what you may think..  Also don’t drink too many because you WILL feel a certain type of way in the AM.. If you are a lush and get drunk everyday well .. this might not be all that dramatic therefore IT’S PROBABLY CUTE .. FOR YOU..for me .. this will be for optional weekends only . . Pass the Kush ..ey day though .. LOL.

They also just introduced the Tropic Chillerz line.. which are orange wine based , sort of like coolers.. I will holla at those next.. I hear they are STRONGER than any cooler you may encounter…. but not quite the boot to the balls kick of the “mixed” drinks.
